Unconventional ways to increase your blog visibility

1. Do what others are doing.

Find blogs like yours. (in your niche)
Then plug those urls into Backlink Fetcher:
http://www.howrank.com/Backlink-Fetch-SEO-Tool.php

It will show you who is linking to those pages. Contact the webmasters of those pages and offer up your resources. Not everyone will agree to link to you but those who do will give you traffic.

2. Join Blog Catalogs and directories.
Keep posting regularly, once your blog start showing up in starting few pages, you will start getting more visitors through it.

3. Social Bookmarking
Start hubpages, and join groups based on similar interest. network with publishers in same area.

4. Post out links of quality sites and blogs in your niche, even if you don't get the back links. This will pay in long run.
