When that does not happen they call the company a scam, quit and give the company bad reviews. Other times a few people may not have the proper skill sets or discipline to work at home.

Skill Sets:

If you can type at a reasonable rate or can learn to type at a good rate then you should be fine especially with the utilization of word processors and spell check.

Equipment:

If you are reading this article you probably have most of what you need. You will need a word processor with spell check, a printer, business cards etc.

Monetary Goal:

What I mean by this is picking a program with a good payment record that meets your goals and how fast you need to create an income. If you have narrowed down the choices as I have done you should be fine.

Blogskinny is a free web directory like many others but with a difference. Other blog directories require a link back to their own home page in lieu of free inclusion of your site/blog url, But blog skinny requires you to link back to paid links from your site. Blog skinny is paid for these links from the advertisers and you fall victim to google penalty for having paid links on your site and blog.

One of the blogs http://free-hd-trailers.blogspot.com/ had a good traffic from google. As a part of link building strategy the blogger submitted his site links to a number of free directories including Blogskinny. And soon he noticed a sudden drop in the traffic, On further investigation he found that the site has been penalized and is being listed at the end of the google search results around (900-1000).

In short stay away from Blog skinny directory submission.
